- In January 2008, Maharishi established the Brahmananda Saraswati Trust to support and endow the large group of Maharishi Vedic Pandits at a campus in the Brahmasthan (geographic centre) of India. The goal is to support 9,000 Pandits. As a stepping stone, the immediate target is to expand the group from its current 2,000 to 3,500 — a number suffcient to create a beneficial effect for all of India and a firm foundation for achieving the target of 9,000.
